An unforgettable adventure in Australia’s heartland, visiting Nindigully Pub, Burke and Wills Dig Tree, Innamincka, Lake Eyre, Coober Pedy, Oodnadatta, Mt Dare, Dalihousie Springs, Simpson Desert, Poeppel Corner, Birdsville.
If attendees do not wish to return across the Simpson Desert they would be at the perfect starting point for a NT/SA/QLD/WA adventure.
This trip is on many bucket lists, it involves a trip across the Simpson Desert from West to East which is the easiest way to traverse the desert. Although the Desert section is not recommended for towing, it is possible to tow a light camper trailer. Please discuss with the trip leader if you intend to tow a camper trailer across the desert.
At the end of the desert crossing trip attendees get the opportunity to drive Big Red. Another tick on the bucket list for many.
Maximum number of vehicles is 10 with a minimum of 3 to return across the desert. Open to visitors
