4WD Qld Corroboree 2023 - Charters Tower

We intend to travel up on the morning of Wednesday 27th September to arrive at Charters Towers on Friday 29th using the most direct route.  You are welcome to travel up in convoy with us or find your way there. Travel back is individual as we are likely to spend time with friends in Bowen after the trip.

It is an individual responsibility to register on the Corroboree Website https://www.4wdqld.com.au/corroboree-link and advisable that you select Queensland 4x4 Club as your club so that we get to camp together.  Campsites at the SHowgrounds are limited so please don't delay in registering for the event.

4WD Queensland and the North Queensland clubs would like to welcome all affiliated clubs and members to the 2023 4WD Corroboree to be held in the Charters Towers region over the October long weekend.

In the tradition of supporting regional areas, the 2023 Corroboree will be held at the Charters Towers Showgrounds. Located 130 km southwest of Townsville and just over 1300km north of Brisbane, Charters Towers became a gold rush town when gold was discovered in December 1871. During the 1880s and 1890s, the town grew and prospered. It was a sign of the extent of local business activity that one of Australia’s few regional stock exchanges was established at Charters Towers in 1890.

Charters Towers is one of the most beautiful inland cities in Queensland, with its unrivaled architecture and unique history, Charters Towers is a surprising pleasure and a delight to visit.
